Overview

Santa Tecla (also known as Nueva San Salvador) is the capital of La Libertad Department. Since 2004 a new coat of arms is used and the name of the city was officially changed to Santa Tecla on January 1, 2004

The upper is a very old one and the lower one that was used till 2004 when the city changed its name.
