The competition for design of basis for the coat of arms and the flag of the municipality of Šentrupert
Limited single-step invited competition for design of basis for the coat of arms and the flag of the municipality of Šentrupert

Introduction by the Mayor
The municipality of Šentrupert is a re-established municipality, that recently seceded from the previous municipality of Trebnje, to which it was incorporated in 1963. Until then the municipality of Šentrupert was independent, after the Second World War having the name of Rakovnik, as the name after a saint was considered politically inappropriate. The new municipality of Šentrupert is therefore now over a year old. In the second year of its activities, we are intending to celebrate the municipaity day, on 2nd June that was elected among eight proposals we gave to public in the local journal. It is the date of upgrade of the Church of St. Rupert [dedicated to St. Rupert of Salzburg, 660?-710, founder of Salzburg] [...]
We have invited five reputable designer agencies to this competition. [...]
Rupert Gole, the Mayor of Šentrupert
