Municipal flag of Makole

The flag and arms of Makole are prescribed by Decision Odlok o grbu in zastavi Občine Makole, adopted on 18 September 2007 and published on 15 October 2007 in the local official gazette Uradno glasilo slovenskih občin 26/2007.

The description of the flag seems to indicate that the flag, in proportions 2:5, is horizontally divided blue-green, the division being a thin wavy golden line. Both horizontal and vertical versions of the flag are prescribed.

Article 3 of the aforementioned Decision describes the coat of arms, quite esoterically, as follows:

(1) The coat of arms has the shape of a shield ending semi-circulary. The two basic colours are blue and green, the third is golden.
(2) The blue colour represents sky and water, that is the river Drava (waves). Green represents the hilly region, gold represents corn ears and a buch of grapes.
(3) [I fail here to understand the epic description of the beautifuly valley of Drava.] The corn ears are set in saltire, under the middle point is the bunch of grapes, [13 balls in the grape symbolize 13 villages, the saltire stands for St. Andrew, the parish church's patron, ears and grape also symbolize the eucharisty].
