The coat of arms of Vransko is prescribed by the Municipal Statutes Statutarni sklep Občine Vransko, adopted on 29 December 1998 and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 2/1999.
According to the municipal
website, the coat of arms of Vransko has been used since 1868 and
is canting for the name of the town, developed from the name of the
crow bird (in Slovene, vrana), as "Argent a crow stantant on top of a couped juniper tree issuant from base all proper".
The coat of arms is set within an arabesque border. The legend says that the
region was once a lake, that was dried up, and that on the dried area
crows gathered.

Stanič & Jakopič [j2s05] record an other flag that is used only as table flag for promotional activities: a green flag that gradually changes it background colour from light green in the top to dark green in the base, with an orle of gray and the coat of arms of Vransko near the bottom above yellow inscription "VRANSKO" with black shadow-drop. This flag is not official either.
