For a short period after the Second World War, Razkrižje was, together with the neighouring municipality of Štrigova, today in Croatia, first given to Slovenia, then shortly to Croatia, to be divided as currently in 1950s. This is due to the Catholic parishes division, namely Razkrižje was made a separate parish from Štrigova only in 1942, both being parts of the Zagreb Archdiocese. It was decided by the Holy See only in 1994 that Raskrižje would become part of the Maribor diocese, following the partition of Yugoslavia.

The flag and arms of Razkrižje are prescribed by Decision Odlok o simbolih, prazniku in priznanjih Občine Razkrižje, adopted on 27 June 2000 and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 76/2000.
The symbols were designed by Valt Jurečič of Heraldika d.o.o. and Heraldica Slovenica, who kindly provided drawings from which the images shown on this page were made.
The flag of Razkrižje is of a design characteristic of the
Slovene municipal flags. A cross of unusual shape is made of a
combination of an horizontal division in three stripes and a vertical
division in three unequal stripes, which is often known as
Canadian pale. Therefore, the flag has four
rectangles, one in each corner, while the main field forms an unusual
wide cross. The vertical arm of the cross is square and bears some
attribute from the coat of arms as a rule.
The flag overall proportions are 2:5. It can be easily shown that the
corner rectangles should be 1/3 h x 3/4 h, h being the flag height.
The flag of Razkrižje has such a white cross on a blue field, with Ivan's source (Ivanov izvir) with hands from the coat of arms within an ornamental blue frame as the central attribute.

The coat of arms of Razkrižje is "Tierced in embowed pile, chief dexter argent six streams azure
falling from three mounts vert onto the open hands proper sleaved of
the last and couped, chief sinister azure a church argent windowed or
and roofed gules, and in base gules a Latin cross couped argent
issuant from the base".
The charges in the white field refer to the water source called Ivan's source
Ivanov izvir, the church pictured is the Razkrižje
church. The cross is canting for the name of the municipality, freely
translated as "crossroads".
