The flag and coat of arms of Podlehnik are prescribed by Decision Odlok o istovetnostnih simbolih Občine Podlehnik, adopted on 7 March 2002 and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 24/2002.

The symbols were designed by Valt Jurečič of Heraldika d.o.o. and Heraldica Slovenica, who kindly provided drawings from which the images shown on this page were made.

The flag is rectangular, in proportions 2:5, yellow with two vertical green stripes forming a square field in the middle of the flag, in which the vine branch from the coat of arms is set.

Stanič & Jakopič [j2s05] give the colour specifications as:
- Yellow: Pantone Yellow

- Green: Pantone 355
- Blue: Pantone 293
- Red: Pantone 185
- Black: Pantone Black

The coat of arms of Podlehnik is "Per pale azure on a mount vert a castle embattled argent with one tower sinister and or a vine branch sable leaved vert and fructed gules".
The castle symbolically represent the Lehnik castle under which the modern town was developed. The vine branch stands for the traditional wine production in the region.
