Stanič & Jakopič [j2s05] write that Grad has not adopted any symbols yet. The municipal administration of Grad has confirmed that there is no flag nor coat of arms currently in use in Grad.
According to the monography Grad na Goriškem, the historical coat of arms of Grad is the coat of arms of the Szechy family, carved above the entrance to the old town.
