Municipal coat of arms of Pesnica, current and former versions - Image by Željko Heimer, 11 May 2006
The coat of arms of Pesnica is a badge-like seal with a white background
showing a landscape in predominant gold colour, and traces of
red, lined black. Across the lower part of the badge is a white
stripe with the name of the municipality inscribed. This version was in use around the 1990s, at least. The above drawing is based on
several documents (postcards, memo papers).
Stanič & Jakopič [j2s05] show a probably more recent coat of arms with the writing OBČINA (Municipality) above the name of the municipality and the year 1990, which is the date of establishment of the municipality.
Until 1995 the community of Pesnica was a part of the Civic Assembly of Communities of Maribor (that is part of "Greater Maribor") but it must have already been using the badge since, I estimate, the 1980s. The flag may be of a newer date, though.
