Formed as Rederi A/B Dalarö by Sture Persson of Dalarö, though the company is shown based Stockholm, operating in the 1950s and given by a website as becoming DB Tankers. However Lloyds instead notes a name change to Dalarö-Bolagen A/B in the 1960s with it coming under Ingmar Matsgård of Stockholm. Collectors Corner shows 2 cap badge flags under Dalaröbolaget, the one being given as the 1st being yellow with a dark blue "D", and the later version white with two narrow red horizontal bands and between them in a lighter blue the letters "db". They appear to have ceased trading in the mid 1970s.

Formed 1957 possibly originally from Styrsö but then Göteborg being operated by Christensson & Co. who may have been original owners. Two flags have been found, one a white swallowtail with a squat gold star bearing a blue "D" from a Collectors Corner cap badge, and a second presumably later version of white with a very dark blue ordinary star bearing a white "D" from the Josef Nüsse [5] collection. The company appears to be still operating although no longer involved in shipping.

Dönsotank A/B

Donso - yellow flag, blue disk bordered white, white "D", black "T".
Jarig Bakker, 12 January 2006

This is a Kristensson family concern dating from 1953. Brown is not quite correct in its portrayal as the letter "T" is grey, not black, with the horizontal arm being over the "D" and the vertical spine being under. The logo showing the design can be seen on their website www.donsotank.se whilst the flag is shown by Josef Nüsse [5] amongst his table flags though his flag appears to have the "T" with a narrow white fimbriation.

Operated around the early 1950s by Egon Stjerna of Linhamn and/or Malmö with the Collectors Corner cap badge showing a blue pennant edged yellow except at hoist and charged with a yellow star although the colour of the latter is not certain.

[Rederi A/B] Ektank

Rederi A/B Ektank, Gothenburg - yellow flag, blue circle, alternating red/white 8-pointed star.
Jarig Bakker, 24 October 2005

The company webpage shows the emblem shifted towards the hoist, not centered. Although a representation of the flag from a ship indicates it may be similar to what Brown shows.

And, if the image at the site is correct about the elements in the "star" then the points at 45, 135, 225 and 315 degrees are shorter than the other four, giving it an appearance of compass points.

Apparently involved in chemical shipping.
Phil Nelson, 25 December 2005

The point about the length of the star points is confirmed as the being compass star style both by the table flag shown on the Josef Nüsse site< [5], which also centres the emblem, and the emblem as shown on the ship funnels. I also have a ship photo clearly showing the flag with the emblem centred.

[Rederi A/B] Electra

Small company based Stockholm around the late 1940s to early 1950s with the Collectors Corner cap badge shown a horizontal biband of red and blue edged white at the flag top and bottom with the main bands having throughout a white "lightning flash" symbol.

Engvall

A Collectors Corner cap badge showing a blue flag with a yellow Shield of David enclosing a yellow "E"  is a mystery with nothing found for the name given as based Gävle.

Ole Andersen, 2000-Sep-19

Erik Bancks Rederi A/B. Going by the cap badge the blue letters may be a very dark shade. This flag appears to have been adopted post WW2 replacing one white was blue with a narrow yellow bend (diagonal band from upper hoist to lower fly) with in the upper fly a white star and in the lower hoist a white "B".
