About the flag

The flag of Yakutsk adopted 20, June, 1996. The flag consists of 5 horizontal stripes:

  • blue (2/16 m)
  • red (1/16 m)
  • white (10/16 m)
  • red (1/16 m)
  • green (2/16 m)
Ratio 1:2 m. There is a red rhombus in the centre of white stripe. Ancient wood tower of XVII century (in white colour) placed in the rhombus. Meaning:
  • rhombus - native land,
  • white colour - North,
  • blue colour - sky;
  • green colour - summer and glass;
  • red colour - life, warmth; gladness
