The flag of the Vlachs Democratic Party of Serbia is described in Article 4 of the party statutes:
The flag is rectangular in blue colour of the European Union. In the middle is a sunflower surounded by seven stars which represent seven Vlašiči*, seven rivers in Eastern Serbia, seven geographical areas.
The seat of the party is in the town of Bor.
Valentin Poposki, 24 August 2007
* I guess that "seven Vlašiči" refers to the Pleiades or Seven Sisters - an open cluster of stars in the constellation of Taurus. These stars are important part of folklore in Serbia and surrounding parts and their name seems to be connected with Valachians only through popular etymology - it seems that in fact the Slavic name Vlašiči comes from the name of the old Slavic deity Volos).Željko Heimer, 25 August 2007
