Minde Commune

There’s also the minderico speaker’s community, in a town called Minde. But that’s not a language, but an artificial lingo invented a few centuries ago by locals in order to be able to communicate between themselves without being understood by strangers. It’s pure portuguese, only the words get twisted meanings.
Jorge Candeias, 04 Feb 2003

I think the correct term for such a “language” is "jargon" (in portuguese "geringonça").
