- German name: Belgard.
Gmina Białogard is a rural gmina (commune) in Białogard County, West
Pomeranian Voivodship, in north-western Poland. Its seat is the town of
Białogard, although
the town is not part of the territory of the commune.
Area: 327.93 sq.km (126.6 sq.mi); Population: 7,758 (2006).
The commune is an important railroad junction besides agriculture.
Arms and flag adopted on October 9, 2002 (resolution # L/247/02).
"Arms: on the blue shield, between two silver fish (crossed) and three
golden wheat stalks (fanned) an oak tree (gold) above which is a red griffin.
Flag: yellow rectangle with two blue bands on both sides. Arms placed
centrally.
Ratio of the flag is 5:8.
Side bands are 1/5 of the width of the flag each."
