Końskie county (Powiat Konecki), Swietokrzyskie vojvodship, consists of the communes (gminy) Fałków, Gowarczów, Końskie, Radoszyce, Ruda Maleniecka, Słupia (Konecka), Smyków, Stąporków.
Końskie County. Flag adopted 10 Nov 1999.
The image isn't like on the FOTW-website!!!
The order of the colors is different. The CD-ROM - catalogue "Katalog weksyliów samorzadowych" by Alfred Znamierowski and Jacek Skorupski publishes the flag which is shown in the magazine "Flaga 13/14" also. Correct description: Divided horizontally into four bends of equal breadth - red, white, yellow, and blue !!!

To make sure of the right flag I have found the text of the law governing the Konskie flag:

"Flag established by the decision # XII/54/99 of County Council of Konskie on 10 Nov 10 1999 concerning introduction of the arms and flag of Konskie County.
In that decision:
§ 4  The flag of the county is ordered in accordance with the graphic and color drawing contained as an addendum # 2 to this decision.
§ 5   The flag is rectangular in proportions 8 : 5 and represents 4 equal horizontal stripes in red, white, yellow and light blue colors.
§ 6   1. The flag of the county is raised on or in front of the buildings being the official headquarters or sites of the meetings of the organs of the county.
        2. Raised on the flagpole, the flag's upper edge is on the left side to the observer. Moving part of the upper edge of the flag is fastened to the flagpole.
3.It is permitted to allow use of small renditions of the flag as table-flags or pennants.
Arms and flag were positively approved by the minister responsible for public administration (28 Mar 2000)"

Konskie, the seat of the county, is a city in south-central Poland, with a population of 23.000, 50 km NW of Kielce, the seat of Swietokrzyskie Voivodship.

Końskie county Coat of Arms

[Konecki county Coat of Arms] image from this site, reported by Jarig Bakker, 10 Sept 2000

Description of the Coat of Arms: The chief per pale; 1: per fess gules and argent, 2: azure, two stars or; in base: gules, a waterwheel or.
The Coat of Arms was derived from the Coat of Arms of Świętokrzyskie Voivodship by taking the main motifs only. In the lower part of the Coat of Arms, the wheel symbolizes perfection and also the iron production which was very important for the county’s economy from 15. through 19. centuries. It stands for the numerous blacksmith workshops and water mills around the county.
