Pomorskie vojvodship coa since September 2001: black griph on yellow shield, like on pl)pm.gif

Pomorskie vojvodship has an official coat of arms since September 2001. It is similar to the little yellow shield (without a crown) with a black gryphon, as on your coat of arms (this coat was only a proposition). Black gryphon is a symbol of Cassubia and Pomorskie coat is similar to Cassubian. There aren't any vojvodship flag, but I heard, that it was proposition: yellow 2:3 flag with black gryphon (like this on coat of arms). The gryphon was in center, about 50% of height.

In today local TV news there was an information about Pommeranian voyevodship coat of arms (black gryphon on yellow background; this project was accepted by Sejmik Wojewodzki (local parliament) in September 2001). Few days ago Komisja Heraldyczna (Heraldical Commission) rejected this project (It wasn't said why; probably because it is only a symbol of Cassubia, not all of Pomerania). Sejmik changed this coat of arms slightly and ratified it as official coat of arms.
