Bolesławiec commune flag

Bolesławiec - rural commune, Wieruszów County, Łódzkie Voivodship.
The Arms and flag of Boleslawiec Commune were adopted on March 5, 1997 by the Resolution of the Council # XVII/123/97.
Designer of the flag was the leader (wójt) of the Commune at that time, Mr.Stefan Pietras.

The Arms show a fragment of the defensive wall with the tower built under the rule of King Casimir the Great in XIV Century. Also the Coat of Arms of the Piast Dynasty.

Flag: rectangular piece of cloth in proportions 5:8 composed of four horizontal stripes:
1. white - 7/20 of the height of the flag
2. yellow - 1/20 of the height
3. light-blue - 1/10 of the height
4. red - 1/2 of the height
Colors are in accordance with those in the Coat of Arms and are, approximately, in the percentages of those used in the Arms.
