Strzelin commune flag
Strzelin - urban-rural commune, Strzelin County, Dolnoslaskie Voivodship
- former German name: Strehlen.
"Coat of Arms of Strzelin is a shield divided into two halfs.
1. on the right side (heraldically speaking) there is the image of
Saint Michael the Archangel (white) standing on a white cloud, helmeted
and winged, and holding a sword in his right hand and scales in the left
one. All on a blue background.
2. on the left side there is a black letter "S" through which a white
arrow goes upward. All on a yellow background.."
There is no mention of the flag in the commune's legal documents nor
is there any anywhere on the web, except in the "Interactive Heraldic Album
of the Polish Republic" of Alfred Znamierowski, where I did locate the
attached flag.
The flag is a rectangle divided into four equal zones: yellow-blue-blue-yellow,
clockwise. The Arms of the Commune are placed in the middle.
