Szklarska Poręba city flag
Szklarska Poręba, Jelenia Góra County, Dolnoslaskie Voivodship - former
German name: Schreiberhau; former Polish name: Pisarzewiec (1945-47).
From the beautiful resort town, where I spent a nice vacation once
- long, long time ago. In those ancient times the town didn't have a flag
yet. Now, it has one:
Commune's "Statut" of 2003 says:
"Arms of the city are divided into three fields:
In the white, upper field, there is a red (ruby) crystal trophy.
In the left, blue field, there is a brown tree stump.
In the right, green field, there is a goose feather pen.
The flag of the City is a rectangular piece of cloth of three horizontal
bands:
white one taking 1/2 of the rectangle
blue and green bands are taking 1/4 of it each.
In the middle, centered on the border between white and green bands,
the Arms are placed.
The bottom band is green."
