Mietków - rural commune, Wroclaw County, Dolnoslaskie Voivodship - former
German name: Mettkau.
The Law says: "The Commune has the Arms in the shape of the late-Gothic
shield. The shield is divided vertically into two fields.
On the right side is a Lower Silesian half-eagle - black, with the
crescent-shaped silver band across its chest and wing.
On the left, there are three wheat stalks - gold, on the green background.
In the center, there is a smaller heart-shield, blue, with the three
silver fish on it. (pike-perch, Zander, or Sander lucioperca,
or Stizostedion lucioperca).
The flag is a rectangle in the ratio 5:8. It is divided into three vertical
bands: light blue - yellow - green."
