This image is from memory, so the exact colour and the exact dimensions may not be accurate. As to the flag itself, the white design in the centre of the teal background is a koru, a traditional Maori carving design in the form of stylised fern fronds. Air NZ's koru is shaped like stylised "wind gusts" (and looks to me like a stylised number 4).
I seem to recall I have also seen the flag with the corporate name under the
logo, but this is, I'm sure, the more common version. I think it
has also been flown in white on dark blue at some point during the
company's history, and the company's current logo shows the koru in
dark blue on white.
