Masfjorden municipality is situated in Hordaland county.
A strange device appears on the flag of Masfjorden. The municipality chose a traditional tool, the hold, for their arms and flag. The hold is a device made of wood that holds something in a grip so that it is kept together, and the idea is to symbolise unity. Three of these objects appear on the flag, in yellow centred on a field of red. Approval was granted 28 September 1990, with Rune Garmann as the designer.
