A very young firm, "YST Bevrachting BV" (i.e. YST Freighting) was founded
in 2007 and established at Ridderkerk which is to the SE of Rotterdam,
between the rivers Maas and Waal. Its founder, Philip van IJzerlooij,
has been active in shipping since 1993.
These and other facts mainly gleaned from company
site (partly still under construction ? photos to come), Dutch only:
Typical loads include bulk, containers, scrap metal, and project cargo
shipped between the local ports to the main German rivers. Also arranged
are transshipments from sea-going vessels, warehousing, and road transportation.
Brokerage is a supplementary sideline. At the beginning of
this year, regularly freighted barges were ten in number.
Additional sources (Dutch,
German):
hopefully photos of the house flag will appear on the site, meanwhile the
drawing found there will have to do. Blue field, yellow stylized initials
"YST" (linked) in the upper hoist; in the lower fly a black sailing ship
with white sails, sailing towards the hoist.
