Jacobswoude municipality

Number of inhabitants (1 Jan 2003): 10.653; area: 41,56 km². Settlements: Rijnsaterwoude (seat), Bilderdam, Hoogmade, Leimuiden, Woubrugge.
On 1 Jan 1991 the municipality of Jacobswoude was formed by the merger of the former municipalities of Leimuiden, Rijnsaterswoude, and Woubrugge. In 1854 Kalslagen had been added to Leimuiden, and in 1855 Hoogmade was added to Woubrugge.
Flagdescription: Three horizontal stripes, proportined 3:2:3, blue, yellow, blue, with on the stripes respectively two yellow cresecents, four blue lozenges, and a yellow faced crescent.
Flag adopted 12 Nov 1992.

Flagdescription: three stripes yellow - blue - yellow, of which the blue one a wavy with at least 5 waves (2 invisible), proportioned 1:1:2, with over all a square divided in three stripes blue - yellow - blue and on blue 2 lying yellow crescents next to each otrher, resp. one in the center; the square of 7/10 flagheight.
Adopted 22 Oct 1971 by municipal resolution.

Woubrugge former municipality

Flagdescription: twee banen, onderste geel, bovenste wederom gedeeld, vluchtzijde rood, mastzijde drie banen blauw, geel, blauw, met in de bovenste baan twee liggende gele wassenaar en in de onderste blauwe baan een liggende gele wassenaar.
De vlag is nooit officieel vastgesteld.
two stripes, bottom yellow, top divided: a red fly, at the hoist three stripes blue - yellow - blue, with in the top two lying yellow crescents, on the bottom blue stripe a lying yellow crescent.
Never officially adopted.
