Opperdoes is in the municipality of Medemblik, Noord-Holland province. It was a separate municipality till 1 Jan 1979, when it became part of Noorder-Koggenland, which in its turn became part of Medemblik on 1 January 2007.

On 23 Dec 2008 Stefan Lambrechts spotted this link: The foundation historical Opperdoes and the Opperdoes village council had a new flag designed based on the original coat of arms: per fly-diagonal yellow over blue; in top hoist three blue cornears.

Opperdoes is a former municipality in Noordholland, since 1 Jan 1979 part of the municipality of Noorder-Koggenland. Opperdoes is an agricultural area, with some national fame because of the potatoes "Öpperdoezer ronde". Its flag: Yellow with three blue ears of barley, issueing from a blue terrace (square). Adopted by municipal resolution on 22 Nov 1963. It can be seen (along with other Noorderkoggenland flags and CoAs) at this webpage.
