Presentation of Centar

The municipality of Centar (45,362 inhabitants; 7.52 sq.km) is one of the ten municipalities forming the city of Skopje.

Municipal flag of Centar

The municipal flag of Centar is red with the municipal coat of arms in the middle. It was adopted in 1997.
The arms, a phoenix rising from the ashes, refers to the rebuilding of Skopje after the devastating earthquake in 1963.

Urban Community of Mito Hadzivasilev - Jasmin

The Urban Council of the Urban Community of Mito Hadzivasilev - Jasmin, part of the municipality of Centar, adopted the community's flag and arms on 28 May 2007. Selected through a public contest and designed by the local resident Goran Gogusev, the symbols have been in official use since 6 June 2007.
The flag is quartered red-blue by a white saltire, with, in the middle, a white disk charged with a golden 16-rays sun.
