Overview

Zemaiciu Kalvarija (Plunge District) - on a silver field upon green a three-hill with a wavy silver stripe a red chapel between two red Latin crosses. Flag proportions 10:11, free edges bordered with a narrow tight silver stripe, finial is a silver tip. The charge symbolizes the famous Way of the Cross (and the name of town means "Samogitian Way of Cross"), the chapel refers to teh 19 chapels of the Way (the front picture is of chapel on St. John's Hill), the three-hill means the hills where all the chapels are located, and the silver stripe refers to the Cedronas rivulet.
