Overview

Lithuania has also adopted a range of naval and military rank flags; they are white with the national flag as a canton and stars or a badge in the fly to denote ranks or appointments.
Tom Gregg, 8 January 1998

Naval Ensign

The naval ensign was adopted on 25 May 1992 by the Heraldic commission of Lithuania. The flag is based on the yacht-club flag of Kaunas which was used til this date. The proportions of this flag were however 2:3. The width of the cross is 1/7 of the width of the flag.
Pascal Vagnat, 1 April 1997

Lithuania has adopted a new naval ensign which is different from the one used during the nation's first period of independence. The current naval ensign is white with a dark blue St. George-style cross throughout and the Lithuanian tricolor as a canton. Proportions: 1:2.
Tom Gregg, 8 January 1998

From Album 2000 [pay00] - Naval Ensign (---/--W 1:2) - White flag with blue cross and the national tricolour in the quarter. According to Pascal Vagnat on FOTW, it was adopted in 1992, and the width of the cross (and threrefore also each of the stirpes) is 1/7. However, the image in Album appears to have cross somewhat whider. On purpose?
Before WWII similar flag (only in ratio 2:3) was that of the Kaunas Yacht Club (was it used as ensign?). I guess that now it can't be used so any more.

Naval Jack

by Željko Heimer, 13 May 2002

A new jack has also been adopted; it is white with a circular badge showing a stylized yellow castle on a red field, with a dark blue anchor behind the badge. Proportions" 1:2.
Tom Gregg, 8 January 1998

From Album 2000 [pay00] - Jack (1:2) - White flag with blue anchor and the circular badge in the middle of it. The badge consists of yellow bordered (dark) red disk with yellow castle-emblem. To all likness, it's been adopted simultaneously with the new naval ensign in 1992.
The Corr. 26 of 1990 Album [pie90] showes (for the first time) the same jack but on square field. I presume that this was never used, and that it is result of not fully confirmed data at the time.
