Overview

Ploksciai (Sakiai District) - on blue field golden bell. Flag proportions 10:11, fringe is golden, finial is golden knob. The charge means both the old bell (made in 1573) of local church and the newspaper "Varpas" ("Bell"), which in 1890ies made the essential impact to the Lithuanian national revival. The editor of "Varpas" Vincas Kudirka (author of National Anthem) worked partially in Ploksciai.
