Overview

Liudvinavas (Marijampole municipality) - field divided per pale red and blue, on right side silver mounted knight, on left side silver Justice. Flag proportions 5:6, free edges bordered with tight golden strip, finial is golden tip. The charges of arms are known from the privilege in 1791, but most likely that privilege was only the re-granting of arms granted in 1719 and revoked in 1776 together with city rights. The knight is definitely originating from the National Arms and should mean the city of state (i.e. not privately owned). Justice should symbolize the justice for citizens, guaranteed by city rights.
