Overview

Rumsiskes (Kaisiadorys District) - on a red field three silver double fleur-de-lys two over one, corners decorated with silver outlines of double fleur-de-lys. Flag proportions 5:6, fringe is silver, finial is golden knob with silver bands. The charge of arms granted in 1791 came from the heraldry of princely Sapiega house, and it reflects most likely the citizens' respect for Kazimieras Nestoras Sapiega, the leader of Lithuanian deputies in the federal Four years parliament. Three fleur-de-lys is the apocryphal first arms of Sapiega house before adopting the Lis arms.
