Overview

Krosna (Lazdijai District) - on green background decorated with golden rectangles on free edges the silver crane with golden halberd. Flag proportions 10:11, finial is golden knob. Both elements of charge have more than one meaning: crane means cranes nesting in nearby Zuvintas reservation, also it symbolizes caution and vigilance, also it symbolizes the Lithuanian partisans (including some women) died in battle at Krosna in 1946; halberd symbolizes St. Matthews, holly patron of local parish, also it means the fight of Krosna people against the occupants. Green background means richness of local nature.
