Geochang Country is located at the northwestern part of Gyeongnam Province. It borders Wolseong-ri, Buksang-myeong at 127 41' E to the west and Dori, Gajo-myeon at 128 06 E' to the east. It also borders Waryong-ri, Sinwon-myeon at 35 31 to the south and Bongye-ri, Goje-myeon to the north. It measures 37 km in the east-west direction and 43.5 km in the north-south direction.

Area

Geochang's total area is 804.09?. The biggest myeon in Geochang County is Buksang-myeon with 125.311 ? while the smallest one is Mari-myeon with 46.61 ? .

Most of the land is the forest area) with the agricultural areas (15.35%), and orchards (0.53%), building area  (1.01%) and other areas (6.49%).
