About the flag

The city flag was adopted on March 1st 2006. A blue flag charged with white city emblem and snowy mountains bottom. The flag proroption 2:3

The emblem depicts Tateyama mountain range symbolizing rich nature such as mountains and rivers while blue basic tone represents Toyama Bay and beautiful sky.

The city emblem sunrays and stylized kanji 富 TO inside which represents Toyama is developing into four directions.

There was an unofficial flag used before 2006: a white flag charged with red city emblem in the center with flag proportion 2:3.
