Nozomi Kariyasu


The stylised katakana ki キ forms a circle (with two concentric rings broken at the top, and a vertical bar from the centre to the bottom). The circle expresses peace and harmony, and the central bar development/growth and activity. The emblem was chosen after a national competition in 1961.
