Akiruno city adopted its emblem: 1 November 1996; no flag legislation but they use 2:3 white flag bearing emblem in the center.
Emblem height: 3/5 flag height. The emblem has blue: pure water and sky; red:
peoples passion and energy; green: rich nature; a stylized A of Akiruno
