Local Council Qadima (meaning forward) is situated in
the Sharon region, 10 km southeast of Netanya,
north of Tel Mond, south of Pardesiyya and east of Even Yehuda. It was founded in 1932 and
has 7,000 inh. Its name is based on a story that when these lands
were purchased by Joshua Khenkin the land redeemer, he
entered the hut of the settlers' committee and declared, "We
moved one step forward".
I spotted the unofficial flag, green with a black emblem, on the
city hall. The municipal emblem was published in the official
gazette (Rashumot), YP 1808, 3 March 1972.

On the last Sunday a parade was held to the 750-year- birthday
of my hometown Frankfurt. All sister's cities had participated in
the parade. All sister`s cities had flags. Today I send you the
flag of the city of Qadima in Israel. However, I believe that the
flag is carried by the Local Council. I have manufactured the
flag after a photo and the emblem.

The inscription on the flag is "Local Council
Qadima". The inscriptions on the emblem is "Local
Council", above, and be'amal'ha tiz'ad qadima (with
your labour, you will march forward), below.
Since I saw a simplified flag in my visit in
Qadima, I guess tha Jan saw the ceremonial flag.
Qadima is not a city but a local council (which is lower rank) .

Local Council of Qadima was united with Local Council of
Zoran. The unified authority is named: Local
Council of Zoran-Qadima.
