Local Council Kefar Tavor (meaning Tavor Village) -
celebrating its 100th anniversary, see the '1901' on the emblem -
is situated near Mount Tavor on the main road from the centre to
the Upper Galilee. It was established in 1901 as Meskha
and changed its name in 1903. Pop. 2,000. In a letter of from the
Local Council, I was notified that the flag is white with emblem
in natural colours. However in my visit I saw a multicolour
collection: white on blue, blue on light blue, white on
green, black on yellow, green on white and blue on orange. The
municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot),
'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut HaPirsumim), YP
1816, 13 April 1972.
