Description

Local Council Kafar Bara is situated in the Sharon region, 7 km NE of Petah Tikva and north of Kafar Qasem. A Local Council since 1963 with 2,000 inh. all Muslims. The flag has been reported as a monochrome field with emblem in unknown colour. I used the emblem colours but those are only probable. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut HaPirsumim), YP 1922, 31 May 1973.

Named after the Moslem prophet Al-Nabi Bara, this small village of 2,400 inh (2003), almost all Moslems, is considered as one of the more beautiful, advanced and peaceful Arab villages in Israel. All population come from two families.
