Zemunik Donji is a community in the Zadar County, some 15 km
due east of Zadar, with just under
2,000 inhabitants, about 1,500 of them in the village of the same
name. Here is located the Zadar airport, today, beside tourism,
the main source of income in the community.
The coat of arms is shown in a promo materials
from Heraldic-art.

Marko Vitez located a web site showing the ceremonial flag:
However, this is not clear enough for me to prepare a drawing of
it (the elements in the fly end are invisible). I tryed to
contact the authorities of Zemunik througt the portal at <www.zemunik.net>
(where they use a version of the Zemunik Coat of Arms in
different colours! probably to make it more
"Croatian-in-feeling"), but no answer yet.
Also, I would not like to assume that the official flag is blue
with the Coat of Arms, based on the ceremonial flag, which is the
most probably true, but we have seen a several exception from
such rule in the area, so let's wait for some answer or some
other evidence.

Tomislav ipek recently discovered quite a number of
municipal flags from Zadar region being shown on pages of the
local electronic journal <www.ezadar.hr> linked with
the articles covering the electional campaign of the HDZ party
for the elections in December 2007.
Concerning Zemunik , for which we already had strong suspicion
that the blue flag is being used, this being confirmed now. The
flag is dark blue with the coat of arms in the middle.
The actual flag shown on "HDZ
Predizborni skupovi u Benkovcu i Zemuniku Donjem",
11.11.2007., is also showing golden fringe, which is only
ornamental feature.
