Overview

Kolan is a community in the Zadar County, fromed in 2003 by secession from the city of Pag, situated in the central part of the island of Pag, about 65 km northwest of Zadar. Just about 750 inhabitants, under 500 in the village of the same name. The economic base of the community consists of tourism and sheep production, same as in the entire island.
The coat of arms of Kolan is: azure a sheep passant argent on a mount of the same. This is shown (in a very small image) in a picture in the designer's Heraldic-art materials on a charter they produced in 2006.

Tomislav Šipek located a photo showing the flag and the ceremonial flag of Kolan in use, on the web site of the local TV station VOX.
The flag is red with the yellow bordered coat of arms in the middle.
The ceremonial flag is a red golfanon with three triangularly ending tails with yellow fringe, the coat of arms in the middle, the yellow inscription of the name of the community above and an olive and a vine branches below.
