Overview

Unlike the 2006 Statutes, the new 2009 Statutes (Statut Opcine Mali Bukovec, 14.07.2009, Službeni vjesnik Varaždinske županije, br. 27/2009, 11.08.2009) include a description of the Coat of Arms and the flag. The Coat of Arms is sable St. Florian or standing on a column. St. Florian is patron of the community. The black is said to represent the persistence, prudence and firmness, the yellow nobility, openhandedness and light. The flag is green with the Coat of Arms in the centre of it bordered yellow. The green is said to represent happiness and natural richness of the community.
The web site of the community shows a bit different Coat of Arms, in white shield showing St. Florian in full colour. I believe it to be a project that was eventually replaced with the above described design.
