The Community of Vocin is in the Virovitica-Podravina County,
25-ish kms. southeast of Virovitica. 4,200 inhabitants, about
1,600 in the settlement of the same name.

Two versions of the Coat of Arms of Vocin are shown as Coat of Arms at Websites. However, they both
seems to be initial projects or proposals occasionally used. The
Coat of Arms used on the flag displayed in the County Assembly
Hall in Virovitica seems to be a combination of the two, and
while the County officials claim that it is an approved version,
I seem no reason to doubt it. The Coat of Arms is: or a fess
maroon and voerall a church argent with a belfry of the same
roofed also maroon both with a doors gules. The flag is vertical,
indigo blue with the coat of arms in the middle bordered white.
The field of the flag in the display is clearly purpulish as
opposed to the other blue flags in the set, but this might have
not been intentional, it may simply be matter of production, but
I choose to retain the difference until we get more detailed
info. The maroon shade is particularly hard to redraw, it looks
like somewhat washed out (oddly, as the flag could not be that
old) and I am not confident in the representation. However, at
least it is clear that the fess and the roof are not intended to
be red, since the doors are made in clear red shade. It may well
be that the flag is also intended to have a horizontal version,
but unlike all the other community flags in the display in
Virovitica, this is the only one made from the vertical hoisting
(even if attached to the staff as any other in the display).

The flag I reported previously is a vertical
version, as I had chance to see displayed in the County
Assembly Hall in Virovitica in 2005. The normal horizontal
version of the flag is also (now?) used, as may be seen on a
photo of the flags displayed in front of the community building
in Vocin on their web site.

In a review Viroviticke vijesti <www.virovitica.net>
dated 13 November 2002, there is a photo of a large sign with a
emblem that is certainly used as a coat of arms. The coat of arms
apparently used by Vocin pictures the local church and the coats
of arms of Croatia and Slavonia in triangular corners.

On the County web site there is shown a different coat of
arms: or a bar maron. This seems to be simplification of
the coat of arms reported earlier and possible the bar is
intended to be red (or it is indeed maron in he previously
reported coat of arms). This may well mean that the coat of arms
adoption process was completed in the mean time with adoption of
the more heraldically correct simple solution instead of the
original "monstrosity". If that is so, there would also
be a flag to go with it, but that we shall have to learn some
time latter on.
