Overview

The community of Bilice is in the Šibenik-Knin County, just north of Šibenik on the coast of Prokljansko lake, with some 2,200 inhabitants. It was formed in 2002 by secession from the city of Šibenik.
The official gazette has the decision on the new symbols: Statutarna odluka o grbu i zastavi Opcine Bilice, 29. svibnja 2007, Službeni vjesnik Šibensko-kninske županije, br. 7/07, 28. lipnja 2007.
The coat of arms of Bilice is in a semi-circular shield: azure a swan argent beaked or with an eel of the second in it standing on a buoy gules issuant from barullets wavy also argent.   The flag is blue with a yellow bordered coat of arms in the middle.
The decision also describes the symbolic - the waves simbolise the sea - "since the sea and sweet water are being mixed in the Prokljan lake". The swan and eel symbolise the natual life of the lake.
The decision in the gazette also includes drawings of the coat of arms and the flag.
