Checking the latest issues of the official gazette of the Brodsko- posavska County at <www.bpz.hr>, and there are some news from the communities there:

The coat of arms of Sikirevci is: or an axe argent handeled maroon bendwise sinistre stuck in a stump issuant from a base vert. The axe (Croatian: sjekira, locally sikira) is a reference to the community name.
The flag is green with the coat of arms bordered white in the middle.
The first one adopts the symbols on 30 March 2004. The second one is decision on beginning of the adoption process, published at the same time as the first one for whatever reason. The third one is determination to order the design from Heraldic-art Rijeka - this was payed 10736.00 HRK if you wander, including VAT (it comes to roughly 1500 EUR). Then a decision of 2005 amends the Statutes to include the description of the coat of arms and the flag, and the next decision acknowleges the approval from the central authorities. The approval (rješenje) of the Central Office for Administration is also printed in the official gazette, which is handy and quite unusual otherwise. And finally, the 2006 Statutes include the description similar to 2005 amendmend but adds a claim that it is the historical coat of arms of the community, even though it has clearly been devised only in 2004...

At the web site of the community <www.sikirevci.com>, the coat of arms and the ceremonial flag are shown.
The ceremonial flag is a green gonfalon ending triangularly with golden fringe with the coat of arms bordered white in the middle, above it golden inscription of the name of the community and below a wreath of an oak branch and a wheat garb.
Sikirevci is a community in the Slavonski Brod and Posavina County, some 40 km east of Slavonski Brod, 2,700 inhabtants of which 2,000 in the village of the same name. The base of the economy is still mostly agriculture. The web site showes the motto of the village: "Sikirevci selo u dva reda, izaleka ko Osik izgleda" which is obviously a rime from a typical folk song of the region and could be translated more or less so: "Sikirevci a village in two rows, from afar it looks like Osijek". The two rows refer to the typical rural organization of houses next to each other along the main road with economic buildings and fields behind those. Since the liberation from Turks, the village was seat of the 5th company of the Brod regiment (so, the seat of military administration of certain level in the Croatian-Slavonian Military Border).
On the web site of the community there is no photo of the flag in use, but this may be interesting to mention a photo of the road sign at the entrance to the community (although the colouring of the coat of arms differs lightly from the prescribed one).
