Overview

The coat of arms of Lipik is: Vert, the building "Kursalon" above the horse head Argent. Kursalon, a neo-Renaissance building from 1893 is the most representative building of Lipik spa that are renown for medical value. Lipik is famous also for the horses (Lipicanac), whose head is the other element of the arms. The flag is white with the coat of arms in the middle.
Until 1997 Lipik had status of a community, when it was made a city within Pozega and Slavonia County.

The current web site of the city includes the new 2009 Statutes which in its Articles 5 through 7 include the description of the coat of arms and the flag - unlike the previous 2005 and 2001 (and probably 1997 whch is not on line) Statutes that did not include this description, only prescription that the city has the symbols.
