Overview

The Community of Kaptol is in the Požega and Slavonia County some 10 km due north of Pozega on the southern slopes of the Papuk mountains. 3,500 inhabitants, some 1,300 in the main town. As the name suggest this was in medieval times a seat of church authorities, renewed after the liberation from Turks in 18th century. Even if small the place has still a certain urban character entirely different from the typicial Slavonian villages.
The Coat of Arms is shown on the County web site <www.pszupanija.hr> as well as on the community site <www.opcina-kaptol.hr>. No flag info for the time being. The Coat of Arms is gules an epicopal staff or between a key also or wards to the chief dexter and a sword erect argent hilted and pommed or. The church in Kaptol is dedicated to St. Peter, so they charges refer to the Saint and the former bishopric.

The Heraldic Art site provides us with the flag drawing. The flag is red with yellow bordered coat of arms in the middle.
