Overview

Vižinada (in Italian: Visinada) is a communty dozen of kms northwest of Pazin. Population 2,200, only 250 of them living in the town of the same name itself.   The coat of arms of Vižinada is the historical coat of arms: Argent a cross pattee gules throughout and in the first, second and third quarter each a downpointing brown-green funnel-shaped cone. The flag is yellow with the coat of arms in the middle. Although the 2001 statutes describe the flag and the coat of arms, they must have been adopted in this form somewhat earlier, say around 1995.
