Overview

Magadenovac is a community in the Osijek and Baranja County, about 50 km west of Osjiek, over 2,200 inhabitants, but only about 100 of them living in the capital village of the same name. Beside about 85% of Croats there is about 10% of Serbs and 3% of Roma (but intersestinly enough, according to 2001 census, languages spoken are 96%Croatian, 3% Roma and religious affiliation 84% Roman Catholic, 10% of "other Orthodox churches", 3% Islam, while the Serb Orthodox Church has only 0.13%). In the territorial reform of 1993 the community was name Šljivoševci, had the seat in that village (almost 400 inhabitants and the seat of the Roman Catholic parish), but in 1997 the name and the seat of administration was changed to Magadenovac. Predominantly agrarian region, notably with sources of natural petroleum.
The community web site shows the coat of arms and includes the 2009 Statutes describing the COA and the flag (although some previous Statutes probably already had the same determinations): Statut Opcine Magadenovac, 26.06.2009, Službeni glasnik Opcine Magadenovac, br. ?/2009, <www.magadenovac.hr>, 03.09.2009.
The coat of arms of Magadenovac is: azure an oil derrick sable between an oak branch and a corn stalks both or all issuant from a base vert.
The flag is green with the coat of arms bordered yellow in the centre of it
