The Flag

Belisce (Belišc'e, Belisae) - Yelow flag with Coat of Arms in the middle. Coat of Arms is: Gules two (linden?) leaves Agrent addorsed and in base three barrulets of the same. The coat of arms is canting picturing leaves (Croatian: lisae), and those also being white probably induced by the first part of the name, in dialect beli means white.
Until 1997, Belisce had status of a community, when it gained city status within Osijek and Baranja County.

The 2001 city statutes describes the coat of arms: red shield with two white leaves and in base three white stripes (rivers). The 2009 statues explicitly names the rivers that cross the city territory as Drava, Karašica and Vucica. The flag is simply described as yellow with the coat of arms in the centre of it, in ratio 1:2. Statut Grada Belišca, 12.11.2001, Službeni glasnik Grada Belišca, br. 8/2001. Statut Grada Belišca, 15.07.2009, Službeni glasnik Grada Belišca, br. 5/2009.
