article from 1995 brings an interview with the vicar from a
small parish of Ciurkvena now in the territory of the community
of Sv. Ivan Žabno, where it is mentioned that Cirkvena was
grnated marketplace rights in 1673 when it was also granted a
coat of arms (not described here, unfortunately).
